Kristy A. Robinson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology at McGill University. She studies classroom teaching and contextual processes that support students' motivation and wellbeing. The overarching goal of this work is to generate theoretical and empirical tools for advancing effective and equitable instructional support for students' pursuit of their valued goals.

Her research funders include the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) and the Fonds de Recherche sur la Société et la Culture (FQRSC). Her research has been recognized nationally and internationally via the Canadian Psychological Society President's New Researcher Award, the Outstanding Early Career Scholar Award from AERA Division C, and the Wilbert C. McKeachie Early Career Award for Motivation in Education from AERA Motivation SIG. She has also been recognized as one of the most productive early-career educational psychology scholars worldwide, and as one of the most productive female educational psychology scholars worldwide, regardless of rank. In 2024, she was further recognized as one of the top-producing scholars in educational psychology journals worldwide.
